Farhanna Farid, born on September 26, 1992, in Singapore, is an accomplished powerlifter known for her remarkable achievements in the sport. Standing at 1.58 meters tall and competing in the 52 kg weight class, Farhanna has made a significant impact on the powerlifting scene both nationally and internationally. She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and currently works as a pharmacist. Farhanna began her powerlifting journey in 2017, quickly rising through the ranks to become a dominant force in the sport.

Career Highlights
Farhanna made her competitive debut in the 2018 Singapore Powerlifting Open, where she not only won her category but also shattered four national records. This initial success set the stage for her international career, which began later that same year at the Asian Classic Powerlifting Championships held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Competing in the under-52 kg open category, she broke the Asian deadlift record with a remarkable lift of 173 kg, surpassing the previous record by 13 kg. Her outstanding performance earned her three gold medals, including titles in the Squat and Overall categories, as well as a bronze in the Bench Press.

In 2019, Farhanna successfully defended her Asian champion title at the Asian Classic Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan. She continued to excel, lifting 178 kg in the Deadlift and achieving a total of 363 kg across all lifts, both of which set new Asian records.

World Record Achievements
On June 6, 2022, Farhanna set a world record for the deadlift in the open U-52 kg category at the World Open Classic Powerlifting Championships in Sun City, South Africa, with a lift of 200.5 kg. She further solidified her status as a top powerlifter by breaking her own world record on September 16, 2022, lifting 201 kg at the Southeast Asian Cup in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

Her incredible journey continued as she rewrote the world record twice at the Asian Classic Powerlifting Championships in Johor Bahru on December 15, 2023. After successfully lifting 190 kg on her first attempt, she went on to achieve 203.5 kg and then 208 kg, marking her eighth record-breaking performance in just a year and a half. On June 16, 2024, she broke her own record again in Lithuania, showcasing her continued dominance in the sport.
