Teo Chee Hean was born on December 27, 1954, in Singapore. He attended St. Joseph’s Institution and later pursued higher education in the United Kingdom. Teo graduated with a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Electrical Engineering and Management Science from the University of Manchester in 1976. He continued his studies, earning a Master of Science with Distinction in Computing Science from Imperial College London in 1977, and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School in 1986, where he was recognized as a Littauer Fellow.
